About Cumbria Canine Hydrotherapy Centre
Over the years we experienced various joint problems and arthritis in some of our own show and pet dogs.  We realised that Hydrotherapy was something which could be beneficial.

About four years ago, we got details on pools, but did nothing; except we found the idea kept reappearing.  Last year we sent for an updated set of details and decided to 'take the plunge' and install a hydrotherapy pool and spa for our own dogs.

We took our time to design the pool and grooming room as we wanted it to be correctly done for ease of cleaning, hygiene and safety.  As well as installing the pool and spa, we fitted a new shower and dryer and gradually the pool room took shape and the dogs loved it.  So much easier than bathing and drying in the house and much less hair on top of the kitchen cupboards!

And so it begins...               It was non-stop work!!

The sky was the limit!             The big day arrives.."yeah"
Before we could use the pool and spa we felt we ought to know how to safely use the facilities, so went to the Midlands and completed courses in Hydrotherapy, Water Management and Canine First Aid.  We had to have the best knowledge available for the safety of the dogs and ourselves.

Paragon Veterinary Hospital heard about our grooming room and pool and contacted us about one of their patients who urgently needed help - we agreed to see her and so Cumbria Canine Hydrotherapy Centre was born.

We are now treating dogs from many Veterinary practices within a fifty mile radius and have informed all the veterinary practices in the area of our presence and facilities.

We are delighted to report that all our clients appear to have improved health or fitness since swimming with us.  We thank all present clients for making CCHC such a success and look forward to meeting new clients.

If we can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
