Treatment Programmes
Cumbria Canine Hydrotherapy Centre offers a range of Treatment Programmes, each having been designed for the condition of the specific dog.
Basic Rehabilitation Programme
Entry level rehabilitation program where treatment is pool-based only.
Advanced Rehabilitation Programme
The hydrotherapy Spa is used before and after each Pool session.
Seniors Programme
Many older dogs suffer nothing more than stiffness and some aches and pains. The Hydrotherapy Spa is used before and after the pool session. The programme starts with an initial course of twice weekly sessions for five weeks; thereafter, the dog continues with a maintenance course which consists of ten sessions, taken initially weekly and then going to fortnightly, to maintain mobility.
Fitness and Stamina Programme
This is serious pool workout sessions to build up fitness and stamina for working, agility, racing and trailing dogs. It can also be used as an advanced recreational activity for fit pet dogs, with no current injury or condition.
Obesity Management Programme
This is a pool-based programme, designed to assist in weight reduction in conjunction with the Vets recommended diet. Obese dogs often have problems with walks, but the pool makes exercise easier.
Basic Recreational Swimming
Pool-based fun and exercise for dogs with no current injury or condition - used for gentle toning and pleasure.
